When We Are Closed

Calls to Thorntree and North Ormesby are diverted to Park Surgery when those surgeries are closed.

We would like to inform patients of a change to our service during the closing hours of the practice.

Opening hours:

North Ormesby Surgery 8am-12pm

Thorntree Surgery 8:30am-5:30pm

Park Surgery 8am-6pm

Thorntree patients can access Park Surgery between 8am and 8:30am and 5:30pm-6pm and our North Ormesby line diverts to Park Surgery from 12pm-6pm. However you can still contact us between 6pm and 6:30pm on 01642 944229 for any non-urgent queries. This is to ensure patients continue to have access to appropriate care during these hours.

Out-of-Hours Care

If you need to see or speak to a GP on a bank holiday, over the weekend or between the hours of 18:00 and 08:00 Monday to Friday then please ring NHS 111.

Local Extended Access

To learn more about our STAR - local extended GP hours services please access the following link:

http://www.southteesaccessresponse.nhs.uk/

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

NHS 111 Online

111 online is a fast and convenient alternative to the 111 phone service and provides an option for people who want to access 111 digitally.

Your needs will be assessed and you will be given advice about whether you need:

  • Treat yourself at home
  • Go to a Primary Care Centre

If you need face to face medical attention you may be asked to attend a Primary Care Centre.
