Enhanced Access Appointments

Park & Thorntree Surgeries are part of the Central Middlesbrough Primary Care Network. Alongside other GP practices in central Middlesbrough, we offer extended hours appointments with GPs, Nurse Practitioners, and nursing staff during evenings and weekends.

The service is delivered from Park Surgery, Monday to Friday from 6:15pm to 8:15pm, and on Saturdays from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Appointments for our Enhanced Access clinics can be booked by speaking to the reception team at your usual GP practice. For further information about the services available during extended hours, please contact the surgery on 0300 111 2300.

Home Visits

Home visits are reserved for patients who are housebound due to illness or disability.

If you need a home visit, please try to call before 11am. One of our Patient Advisors will help you.

Sometimes, a doctor or nurse may call you back if your issue can be safely managed with advice over the phone.

Please remember that more patients can be seen at the surgery in the time it takes for a single home visit, and the surgery offers better facilities for examination and treatment.

GP Training at Our Practice

From time to time, medical and nursing students attend our practice as part of their training. We appreciate your support in helping them learn about general practice.

You will always be informed in advance if a student will be present during your consultation. If you prefer not to have a student present, your wishes will be fully respected.

Your care will not be affected in any way by your decision.

Text Reminder Service

We offer a text messaging service to send you confirmation and reminders for your appointments.

To use this service, you will need to register by completing a consent form.

Please make sure to keep your contact details up to date with us, including your address, phone number, and email, so you don’t miss any important messages.
